Participación Paterna en la Lactancia en Primigestas
Resumen
La lactancia materna (LM) se ha promovido por sus beneficios para la salud del niño y la madre. La participación paterna puede ser un factor determinante en la duración y la exclusividad de la lactancia materna. Objetivo: Determinar la importancia de la participación paterna en la lactancia materna, Métodos: Se realizó una investigación de tipo mixta en la UMF 2 del IMSS en el periodo de 2023-2024. Se realizaron entrevistas semidirigidas a madres primigestas con hijos de 6-24 meses de edad enfocadas en la participación paterna. Se realizó el análisis de esta mediante Atlas . Ti. Finalmente, se hizo una descripción de la información recabada. Resultados: De un total de 30 madres tenían una edad de 25±3.6 años, el 70% contaba con educación media superior, 21 se dedicaban al hogar. El tipo de lactancia predominante fue la lactancia materna+alimentación complementaria 70%. La mayoría de las madres se sentían apoyadas por los padres mediante acciones como la alimentación, cambio de pañal, cuidado de los hijos, ayuda en las labores domésticas. Conclusiones: La actitud paterna, el apoyo emocional, en el cuidado de los hijos, el conocimiento sobre lactancia son factores determinantes en la duración de la lactancia materna en madres primigestas.
