Leiomioma Pulmonar Benigno Metastatizante, una Causa Infrecuente de Nódulos Pulmonares: Reporte de Caso y Revisión de Literatura
Resumen
El leiomioma uterino es el tumor ginecológico benigno más común, sin embargo, en raras ocasiones presenta un patrón de crecimiento extrauterino siendo la metástasis pulmonar lo más frecuente, denominándose leiomioma pulmonar benigno metastatizante (LBM). Se manifiesta como una entidad asintomática en la mayoría de los casos, asociada a nódulos pulmonares bilaterales dispersos no calcificados; el diagnóstico de certeza se realiza mediante histopatología e inmunohistoquímica, dada la rareza de la enfermedad el tratamiento aún no se encuentra completamente establecido. Teniendo entre sus opciones la resección quirúrgica, terapia hormonal y manejo expectante. Presentamos el caso de una paciente de 47 años de edad con antecedente de histerectomía secundaria a leiomiomatosis uterina 22 años previos a su valoración médica, la cual acudió por presentar disnea y tos crónica asociada a múltiples nódulos pulmonares realizándose el diagnóstico de leiomiomatosis pulmonar benigna metastatizante y que recibió tratamiento expectante, manteniéndose estable tras 3 años de seguimiento.
