Celos e infidelidad en parejas de jóvenes en Pachuca, Hidalgo, México
Resumen
Las relaciones de pareja en jóvenes pueden caracterizarse por una intensa carga emocional que favorecen la aparición de dinámicas disfuncionales, relacionadas con celos e infidelidad. El objetivo del presente estudio fue analizar la relación entre los celos y la infidelidad, así como identificar diferencias por sexo, en adultos jóvenes de 18 a 25 años de Pachuca, Hidalgo, México. Se utilizó un diseño no experimental, transversal y correlacional, con una muestra de 100 participantes (50 mujeres y 50 hombres). Se aplicó la Escala de Actitudes Celosas MAP y la versión corta del Inventario Multidimensional de Infidelidad (IMIN). Los resultados mostraron diferencias significativas por sexo en el factor conflicto de los celos, con puntuaciones más altas en mujeres, y en el deseo de infidelidad sexual, con puntuaciones mayores en hombres. Asimismo, se identificaron correlaciones positivas significativas entre el factor control y diversas manifestaciones de infidelidad, así como asociaciones entre inseguridad y conductas infieles. Los hallazgos sugieren que los celos, particularmente en su componente controlador e inseguro, se relacionan con la infidelidad en parejas jóvenes, lo que resalta la importancia de intervenir en estas dinámicas para promover relaciones más saludables.
